In 2015 we fitted a lot of kitchens! But most of them we just fitted the kitchen that the client had organised. They also had to organise any other trades that where needed throughout the work including plasterers, electricians, plumbers and tilers. At DJM we offer a service where we organise everything and everyone that’s needed in a complete kitchen fit taking the stress of running the job off your shoulders. In this blog post i am going to talk about one of the few kitchens refurbs we did from start to finish.
So to start with we took out all of the old kitchen and stripped off the tiled walls and floor also sorting out and tidying up the plumbing putting in a new outside tap then the electrician came to do any first fix electrics and run some new cables in it was then ready to plaster. The aertex ceiling was re boarded then we plastered the walls and ceiling ready for the new kitchen.
We put together all the units and got them fitted custom making the end cupboard to be angled to allow easier access to the kitchen, fitted the worktops cutting the same angle as the custom made cupboard and bonding on the wood effect end. We also fitted an upstand and a glass splashback behind the hob. The electrician then came back to connect up the new lights and appliances and we connected up the sink and washing machine. We also put a timber scribe along the top of the wall units to stop the dust trap on top of the cupboards as well as hiding the ducting for the extractor fan. The last job to do was tile the walls and floor and grout everything up at the end the client was really pleased with the finished kitchen I’m sure you will agree it’s a nice classic looking kitchen with well picked worktop and tiles check out the photos below
